Made of one of the densest, most durable woods, Brazilian Ipe; this dish will outlast any other.
Comparable to Teak, this wood is extremely water resistant and can withstand being soaked over and over. In fact - they built the Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn out of Brazilian Ipe.

NOTE

This is natural raw wood and not coated with any lacquer in an effort to keep everything all natural. They will last a very long time and are very durable even when exposed to water. At times natural tannins in the wood may cause some brown water to run off the soap dish. This is completely natural and will stop with time. You are welcome to coat them once you receive them if you prefer to do so.
