Flower Essence : The Bleeding Heart

WHAT IS A FLOWER ESSENCE

A flower essence is an infusion made from the flowering part of the plant, and is used to address emotional and mental aspects of wellness. Their power is subtle and some question if it’s a placebo effect. But it works its way through intertwining our consciousness and physical being.

It’s preparation itself is a very ethereal experience, where fresh, dew blossoms are gathered in the very early hours of a clear sunny day in a thin glass bowl. Through this, we collect the energetic imprint of the flower and it’s healing archetype.

THE BLEEDING HEART BLOSSOM

Much like it’s name, the bleeding heart blossom helps those who are going through a time of sadness and despair. It is useful when one is simultaneously in the midst of processing emotional grief and gives one the strength to help patch the wounds that our hearts endure, helping us to open our hearts again. It also has a strong relation to people who have issues with co-dependence. Over time, it teaches us self-love, to rediscover lost pleasures, and liberation.

MY SENTIMENTS TOWARDS THE BLOSSOM

It is linked to a warm memory in my heart. It was my first plant walk at my teacher’s (Claudia Keel) garden during orientation for my first year at Herbalism school, and I couldn’t believe such a magical looking flower could have such a powerful name.

RESOURCES

I like Tree Frog Farms  because they go the extra mile by incorporating complementary gemstones to create a more potent and deeper blend. For example, this is just a short excerpt from their website, " While this essence was being made, a matrix of amber, cobalto clear pink calcite, peach moonstone, rhodonite, ruby, smokey quartz and drusy quartz crystals was placed among the mother (storage) bottles and plants. The sun acts as a transformer to step down spiritual energies from higher dimensions."
